About Rainbow
The Southern Alps of New Zealand are host to a number of superb ski areas. One of the most beautiful is the Rainbow Ski Area which is 35 minutes from St Arnaud. Overlooking Nelson Lakes National Park with its extensive beech forest and beautiful Lake Rotoiti, the views from the top of the T-bar are spectacular.
There is plenty of room to ski or snowboard, and the wide uncrowded slopes have a north easterly aspect keeping it regulary warm and sunny. The terrain is superb for beginners and intermediates, and advanced skiers can challenge themselves with the high powder runs and chutes.
